Industrial Pretreatment Specialist
Goldie Associates is seeking an Industrial Pretreatment Specialist to work in our Seneca, SC office.
An Industrial Pretreatment Specialist is responsible for ensuring industrial facilities comply with wastewater discharge regulations by conducting site inspections and enforcing pretreatment standards to protect public sewer systems and the environment. Duties include data analysis, reporting, and coordinating with industries to achieve compliance with local and EPA regulations.
Responsibilities:
· Site Inspections: Performing routine inspections of industrial facilities to assess wastewater discharge points, pretreatment equipment, and compliance with permit requirements.
· Sampling and Analysis: Collecting wastewater samples from industrial facilities, analyzing them for pollutants, and interpreting results to identify compliance issues.
· Data Management: Maintaining accurate records of inspection findings, sampling data, and compliance reports.
· Compliance Enforcement: Issuing notices of violation, working with industries to develop corrective action plans, and enforcing compliance through administrative orders when necessary.
· Technical Support: Providing technical guidance to industries on pretreatment requirements, best practices for wastewater management, and troubleshooting issues with pretreatments.
· Reporting and Documentation: Preparing detailed reports on inspection findings, compliance status, and enforcement actions taken. Preparing compliance reports for local permitting agencies, quarterly, semi-annually, etc.
· Regulatory Monitoring: Staying updated on local and federal regulations related to industrial wastewater discharge and pretreatment standards.
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelor's degree in environmental science, chemistry, engineering, or related field
· Knowledge of wastewater treatment process and pretreatment standards
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with industry representatives
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting
· Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting procedures
Work Environment:
· Primarily office-based with frequent field visits to industrial facilities
· Exposure to industrial settings and potentially hazardous materials
· May require occasional overtime and flexible scheduling to accommodate site inspections

Environmental Specialist
Goldie Associates is seeking an experienced, full-time Environmental Specialist to work in our Seneca, SC office.
The mission of the Environmental Specialist is to assist Pretreatment Coordinators in review and administration of pretreatment programs for clients. In addition, they will work with senior environmental specialists in completing project work under the direction of the lead specialist for each assignment. The Environmental Specialist will utilize their existing skillset and knowledge as well as learn new skills to perform support tasks on various projects including pretreatment program administration, pretreatment program updates, local limit calculations, permit renewals, SDS reviews and write-ups, and answering regulatory questions. The Environmental Specialist may be responsible, with minimal supervision, for small projects as they arise and are assigned by the consulting manager. The Environmental Specialist will develop skills in preparation for a future senior level position.
Responsibilities:
· Work directly with Senior Environmental Specialist daily and learn how to respond to regulatory questions and familiarize themselves with pretreatment regulations.
· Be able to review industry data and utilize CAPTAINS for review and reports.
· Identify pretreatment violations or compliance and be able to review industries' submittals within 3-6 months.
· Put together packages containing the necessary information for renewals, permitting, or other environmental submittals within 1 year.
· Complete tasks assigned within the timeframe given by the project lead.
· Complete the components required and direct the assembling and submittal of packages for renewals, permitting, or other environmental submittals within the first 6 months.
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field.
· Knowledge Working in environmental compliance and project management is not required but is preferred

Environmental Project Manager
Goldie Associates is seeking an experienced, full-time Environmental Project Manager to work in our Seneca, SC office.
The mission of the Environmental Project Manager is to utilize their existing skillset and knowledge to manage various environmental projects involving industrial pretreatment program updates, local limit calculations, permit renewals, hazardous waste compliance, and SDS reviews, among others. The primary role of the Environmental Project Manager will be to consult with clients and work with the in-house team to compete projects.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure environmental projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
· Thoroughly communicate with all stakeholders in a project.
· Create proposals for new projects and identify the need for, create, and issue change orders for existing projects, as needed.
· Identify new project opportunities during site visits or conversations with clients.
· Direct and manage environmental compliance projects from inception to completion.
· Act as the primary point of contact for environmental clients.
· Work with the department manager to schedule environmental employees and prioritize tasks.
Education and Experience Required:
· Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related field; and at least four years of experience working in environmental compliance and at least one year working in project management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
